Fruitsan apple cracks on my head
plops in a tub
with my raisined fingers and toes
a lemon expression enters my face
and camps there
for many dates
a fox offers the grapes he finally reached
because he prefers prunes
and bananas to peeeling grapes
slipping on the banana skins reveals
squashed berries in the middle of the road
where i sit washing tangerines in my tub.
Deep within myself I
surrounded by human life
alone in my mind
blend with the world
the images of my heart
yet expressed to
myself, invariably reminded
The love of one pulls,
drawing my mind towards
another world, a separate time
still in truth but
enveloped in a cloak that is
unseen by the eyes of the world.
My mind is joined by
another; I am no longer

Twenty Years ...Terri blinked awake, and shrieked in amazement. She had fallen asleep on the couch, exhausted from hours of homework (writing assignments from English class), and now , although she had remained on the deep purple couch, her house was gone. And the entire neighborhood. Not to mention the bare horizon...
A dilapidated old laptop computer sat, ten yards away. The power was off, but it was still servicable. Terrie stumbled towards it, gave it a whack, and turned it on, letting it boot itself. As the screen glowed into visible images, it displayed the most recent window that had been opened: a final announcement of the mass exodus of the entire human race from the planet called "Earth".
According to the tiny lines of typeface, Mars was now the retirement home of choice, and Saturn was being renovated to accept the youth of the Earth. Terri gaped at the screen dumbly, then mindlessly hit the power switch again. The only option was to find some way to Mars, b
Raven's TaleOnce upon a time is an opening to a tale
Of one small cat and a mage whom I hail
As a man most unique in his quiet refinement,
A man who has love as his private assignment.
But his name I'll retain 'till his time is at hand,
And I'll turn to the cat, who looked rather bland.
She thought that she could not look good if she tried,
So she didn't, and that is the reason she cried.
"Just once," she would think, "I wish I were great,
And I long for the fur that I could equate
To velvet or silk. But no, it's just plain.
Thick and all rumpled, especially in rain!"
She would find books of drawings and keep them nearby
And frequently look at the pages to try
To imagine herself as the creatures shown there --
As an eagle, or lion, a parrot, or bear.
She admired the grace of the thoroughbred horse,
And the zebra's white stripes were quite stunning, of course.
In short, there was nothing she'd less rather be
Than the cat that she was, and this all could see.
